Anglers may fish Minnesota waters without a license from Tuesday, June 2, through Monday, June 8, during a pause in the DNR’s license issuing system. All other fishing season regulations and bag limits will remain in effect.
License sales will resume Tuesday, June 9, in the new electronic licensing system and be available for purchase online, via the new mobile app and in-person at agent locations across the state.
Beginning June 9th, you can purchase licenses on the MN DNR website or the new MN DNR Licensing mobile app. If you purchase the license online, you need to print the license on a regular sheet of paper and keep that paper with you when fishing or hunting. If you use the mobile app method, you do not print the license, as it is stored in your mobile app.
Eagle Nest Lodge will continue to be an agent and can sell these licenses to you, however, we will be using our computer and the same MN DNR website. We highly encourage you to purchase your license on your own computer before your arrival, or download their new app on your mobile device. The MN DNR is no longer providing the agents with equipment to sell the licenses. Therefore it may take much longer than anticipated to purchase at the resort as we will be using our one computer in the lodge that is used for other business tasks as well.
