Mid-September is when the leaves typically start turning colors. And in the next couple weeks, it will be spectacular around here. The nights are cool and crisp and the days are mild. Oh, and the fishing really kicks back in as the water cools down. The best time of year at ENL!

And folks need a little recharge after a whirlwind summer schedule. Go for a walk, read a book, have a fire, breathe in the dry, fragrant fall air. The fall walleye bite is already starting to ratchet up. And grouse numbers appear to be on the rise. Come celebrate fall with us!

Anglers may fish Minnesota waters without a license from Tuesday, June 2, through Monday, June 8, during a pause in the DNR’s license issuing system. All other fishing season regulations and bag limits will remain in effect.
