Cutfoot Sioux and Lake Winnie

Cutfoot Sioux Lake for Fishing

Cutfoot Sioux Lake and Lake Winnie are well known for great Minnesota spring and fall walleye fishing. Cutfoot Sioux is ideal for summer fishing, especially on the windy days when Big Winnie can be too rough for most anglers. The many bays of Cutfoot not only provide protection from the wind, but great structure for catching many species of fish and spectacular scenery with eagles, loons and pelican making their home here as well.

The most popular catch on Cutfoot and Lake Winnie is the walleye. However, Winnie is also known for its jumbo perch, northern pike, crappie and muskie populations.
