Walleye Opener on Cutfoot Sioux and Lake Winnie

Opening walleye fishing season on Cutfoot Sioux is about as exciting as it can get. The spring walleye migration leads to trophy size walleye in your net. Cutfoot Sioux, with its many protected bays, allows you to fish every day and not worry about the wind and waves.

Summer Family Fun

During the summer months, fishing for walleye, northern pike, perch and crappie can be a fabulous way to spend the day on Cutfoot Sioux or Big Winnie. And don't forget to bring the kids! Eagle Nest Lodge offers a naturalist program June 9th thru August 22nd, Mon. - Fri. Our full time naturalist leads guests on nature and hobo hikes, teaches about the wild, has fun with arts and crafts and finds time for bingo and volleyball too! The activities are for all ages. We've even caught moms and dads having fun!!

Our swimming beach extends 600 feet along the north shore of Cutfoot Sioux Lake. On the beautiful sand beach you will find kayaks, hydrobikes, volleyball, and a playground. If a relaxing soak in the sun is what you are looking for, help yourself to a lounge chair and enjoy. All ages can enjoy the hard sand bottom swimming area, water volleyball area and our RAVE water raft. Our swimming area is friendly to kids of all ages - no drop offs.

Autumn Colors and Leaves are Falling

Come September the colors are brilliant - and what better way to soak up the final sun before Minnesota's deep freeze than to visit us for a long weekend. We often run specials in September and October! For those looking for a more active vacation, fall fishing challenges even the best angler. Local guides are available to help you find that hot spot.
