Welcome to Fall
I think the meteorologists were watching the calendar this year. Labor Day was hot as can be, but by noon the next day we needed a sweater. It really is a beautiful time to be in Minnesota.
Fall Day by Day
We are going to try track the leaves this year by taking a picture of our view of Seelye Point everyday through the season. We expect that peak color weeks will come between the last week in September and the first week of October but the pictures will tell. Visit our web site daily to see the change. Or come up and visit to see for yourself. http://www.eaglenestlodge.net/
MEA Special (Oct 16-19)
We’re going to be running our popular MEA long weekend special again this year with low rates of $50/adult/night and $20/school aged child/night. Some docks will be in, but the slips might be out by then. Call for reservations 1-800-356-3775.
ENL in the News
Some of our longitme guests, the Ieuters, were featured in the Grand Rapids Herald Review (http://www.grandrapidsmn.com/articles/2008/08/16/news/doc48a5f49950dac179770231.txt). The Ieuters have been coming to Eagle Nest Lodge for 60 years. This year we were delighted to have 30 of them up.
Trivia

See you soon!
Bryan, Sue, Gunnar, and Anneka Harris and all of the staff at Eagle Nest Lodge
Trivia answer: The temperature of a turtle egg in the nest(underground) determines the sex of the turtle. A warmer egg will be a female and a cooler egg will be a male.
