Thanks for a great season!  We had a beautiful summer and a great fall fishing season and we were glad to have you here to enjoy it with us.

Fall Cleaning at ENL
Fall Clean Up at the CabinsMany guests have asked what we do when we close.  Here is a little run down of our fall clean-up.

  • We fall clean every cabin, washing the inside from top to bottom (even the ceilings).  We take beds, lights, and kitchens apart and wipe everything down.  We take the dishes and pots and pans and silverware to the lodge for a thorough scrubbing and inventory check.
  • We drain the water out of all but Cabins 7 & 16 and turn off the heat and cover the windows to prevent fading for the winter.
  • We take the docks out and put them on the beach until spring.
  • We power spray the grills and store them in the camper shower.
  • We wipe down all of the green plastic deck furniture and store it in Cabin 4.
  • We chop and blow leaves.
  • We winterize all of the boat motors and haul the boats to storage in Deer River for the winter.
  • We send all of the bedding (blankets, spreads, mattress pads, sheets and pillow cases) in to the laundry.
  • Then we take a breath and tackle our own house and the disaster in the office after a very busy season and fall.  It's amazing how the piles build up in just a short time.

So, even though the guests are not here, the work goes on, fixing and cleaning up, as we prepare for another busy season next year.
