Summer is here – there’s no doubt about it. This week they are predicting that “where’s the lake?” kind of weather and we’re here to tell you that the water is fine.

Tornado on Lake Winnie

We have some amazing pictures from a tornado on Lake Winnie on May 26, 2007. Some of our bravest guests wrestled the tornado armed with a fishing pole and a camera and lived to tell the tale. We don’t suggest trying this at home – but we did enjoy the pictures:

WiFi at ENL
Good news for those who like to stay connected. We are putting WiFi in at the resort. You should be able to get online using your laptop from your cabin porch – you just have to promise no work on vacation!

New Deluxe Boat
It’s too late to be the first to take out the new boat- but it’s not too late to enjoy that new boat smell and feel. Earlier this year we purchased another Deluxe boat for the resort – this makes four deluxe boats. The other boats have been so popular and we wanted to make sure that families and fishers were able to access the boats when they wanted.

Area Events
Summer seems like festival time in Minnesota. Next week we have the Children’s Lumber Jack and Lumber Jill Days, and right after that is the 4th of July. We have posted a calendar on the web site: http://www.eaglenestlodge.net/calendar.htm
